“Shadow Play: Tales of Urbanization in China” is a project created by Lily Honglei Art Studio with three active members, Lily Yang, He Li and Honglei Li.
“Shadow Play: Tales of Urbanization in China” received Fiscal Sponsorship from New York Foundation for the Arts and New York State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Grant 2018.
“Phase II. Shadow Play: Tales of Urbanization in China (in progress)” received Creative Capital Award in Visual Arts & Moving Images.
This project is also made possible in part by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and New York Foundation for the Arts through NYFA Fellowship 2015 in Interdisciplinary Work.
“Phase II. Shadow Play” has received support from Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning in New York. Part of the multimedia project, including video installation and augmented reality installation components, will be presented during Jamaica Flux 2016.
“Phase I. Shadow Play: Tales of Urbanization in China” is a 2014 commission of New Radio and Performing Arts, Inc., for its Turbulence.org website. It was made possible with funding from the Jerome Foundation.
